Therese Reinsch
I moved to West Vancouver with my family from Calgary about 27 years ago, and I have lived in the Westmount/West Bay area since then. It is a truly beautiful area, treed, and close to a wonderful beach, and ski hill.
In Calgary, I was the owner/operator of a school of modelling and personal development, as well as a casting company, Alberta casting, working with film and commercial productions. I sold the companies prior to moving.
In terms of my educational background, I graduated from the University of Calgary in 1979, Bachelor of Education, With Distinction.
In 1994, I received my Real Estate licence and began my career as a professional realtor in 1996, first on the Westside of Vancouver, and later transferring my licence to Macdonald Realty in West Vancouver. I was a member of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver Government Relations Committee for 2 years, meeting with both federal and provincial government officials, locally, in Ottawa and in Victoria, lobbying on behalf of Buyers and Sellers of real estate. In 2013, I volunteered to be a member of the B.C. Invasive Species Committee which involved setting up a toolkit as a resource for local governments, developers, and real estate professionals to combat the economic damage due to these invasive species i.e. property damage by Japanese Knotweed to driveways, house foundations, etc.
I make every attempt to attend city council meetings so that I can be at the forefront of any changes or anticipated changes to bylaws and policies which I feel allows me to keep my clients current on anything that might affect them and their biggest asset.
Not unlike my past business, real estate is a dynamic, fast-paced, competitive industry that provides many challenges, lots of excitement, interesting people and interesting homes. And I love it.
